Thinking about the future can make us forget that there is a present, a now. It is up to you to make that famous John Lennon quote that says that life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans or, on the contrary, start living in the present moment.

Making plans is fine, having objectives and goals is necessary, having a plan for the future is essential to grow and advance. But you can’t forget that your heart beats now too. You cannot neglect today, the present moment.

Don’t think so much about tomorrow: You are only guaranteed today

The present moment is where the future is forged. The decisions you make now, the experiences you live today will be some day past when the future becomes the present. But who knows what will happen tomorrow.

Love today, live today, be grateful today, take care of yourself today. Maybe then it’s too late. Maybe tomorrow will never come. Do not let dreams drag you while you forget to live.

Your loved ones are always there. Precisely for this reason, many times we forget how important and necessary they are for us and that one day we could lose them, in any of the meanings of the term. Do not forget that they love you and can also lose you.

Do not forget to caress your loved ones, to tell them that you love them, to dedicate some of your time to them consciously, to kiss them, to remind them how much they mean to you, to give them a sincere smile. Don’t wait for it to be late. Speak, listen, touch, observe.

The harsh reality is that life is too short. The good news is that it is enough if you do it right. And to do it well you have to live in the present, feeling grateful for what you have now, enjoy it now, without wasting it, respecting it.

What you have is enough to be happy, your “current me” is enough if you are able to find the true value that you have now. You can still become more, there is no doubt. But you won’t be able to get anywhere if you don’t know where you are.
